The rate of young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) fell from 4.2% to 3.9%
The number of children aged 0-15 is expected to fall by around 1,200 in the next ten
Early Help navigators have supported 1,518 parents with parenting, SEND, debt, housing, mental health, and
93 Children in Care in residential placements
The rate of Children in Care locally has fallen from 83 to 75 per 10,000

Tackling hardship and poverty

73 Welcoming Spaces available across the borough
In, 2025 the Trussell Trust gave out 16,899 food parcels in Cheshire West
Estimated 12 people sleeping rough on a given night
Managed the distribution of over £4m from the Government's Household Support Fund to provide crisis support to those affected by the rising cost of living
900 homeless preventions, up from 827 in 2024/25

Resilient people living their best lives

The number of carers who received an assessment has increased from 636 to 676
44% of people who set a quit date for smoking successfully quit at the four week follow up
The average number of days people wait for the provision of care has gone down from 12 to 9
Over 2.1 million visits to hub sites by Brio members for sports and physical activity
2,768 vulnerable residents supported to remain in their own homes

Opportunity in a local economy 

654 businesses were supported by the Council
The ORIGIN industrial and employment cluster outside Ellesmere Port is home to over 1,300 businesses employing 24,100 people
The Council bought goods and services worth over £184m from local businesses
20 Supported employment placements
2362 people were supported to start or remain in work by the Council’s Skills and Employment team

Neighbourhood pride

98% of streets inspected met national standards for being clear of litter
Council investment into Highways increased by almost £5m, including a three-fold increase in road resurfacing works
The Council worked with owners to bring 274 empty homes back into use
Cheshire West Recycling conducted 24,395,653 bin collections
14,893 highways defects were resolved

Greener communities

188,438 trees were planted in the borough
38,543 homes visited by our Recycling Advisors to help encourage effective recycling
101 publicly available Electric Vehicle (EV) charging devices available to the public per 100,000 people, up from 66
99.97% of all waste and recycling collected right first time by Cheshire West Recycling
54% of all household waste was sent to recycling, reused or composted

Doing
things
differently

Launched and managed Round 6 of the Cheshire West Crowd, which has raised nearly £2.9m to deliver 190 successful community projects
•	84.4% of customers were satisfied with the services received from the Council’s customer services
•	The management of Council housing services was brought back into the Council. The Council owns 5,300 homes in the borough
81.7% of customer contact with the Council was managed digitally, up from 79%
•	There were over 4,000 new sign ups to Council Tax e-billing – 30,380 A6 pieces of paper saved
